    It is used as a TV stand housing the cable and stereo boxes. I verified the top dimensions for my 56" DLP TV but not the shelving dimensions for everything else. The shelving was a little thin for both the cable and stereo units. To squeeze them in and to have room for the unit wiring two of the three back panels had to be removed and the shelves supported by longer pegs. Other than that it has been a good purchase for the price. Much sturdier than I thought. The piece will fit in well with nicer, more expensive, furniture in the room.

    Loved the look of this TV stand immediately. The sliding doors work well and display DVD's well. A little disappointed with the quality. One drawer was cut wrong and therefore slants slightly to the left and does not open smoothly. The top piece also had a large gash toward the back. This caused the finish to just peel off in that section. Since it was an area covered by the TV we decided to just use as is. I highly recommend looking over EACH piece carefully before beginning assembly.

    We had a bad edge but we used a black marker and you can't tell. Easy to put together, good height for veiwing and keeping children's fingers off the TV screen.
