I use it in my rec. room area. The pivot feature works very well. I holds my 58" Plasma TV robustly and neatly in the corner.

A 52 inch LCD TV is mounted on riser and looks great. Tilt and swivel are useful features.
Wire management is a metal see-through that almost hides wires (daytime) and does hide them in low light. The plastic grommets for the wire access holes are flimsy and come out too easy when installing wires but once put in place and left alone are adequate.
MOST IMPORTANT:
GET PRECISE SHELF MEASUREMENTS and MATCH TO YOUR STEREO, DVD AND SET TOP BOX MEASUREMENTS!!
ALLOW 1-2 inches for cable connectors behind components - this total is the size shelving you need so get the dimensions from the seller and compare before ordering. Will your components and cabling fit on their shelf!
Here is the rub - these shelves are only 15" deep at the middle while my stereo amp. is 17+ inches deep plus the plug in connectors add another 1-1.5 inches for a total of 18-18.5 inches required.
A proper shelf depth size SHOULD be 18 inches minimum. Good luck trying to find these sizes - I looked at hundreds of stands online.
Since they do not tell you - the shelf heights are as follows:
Bottom shelf to middle shelf height is approx. 6.5 inches. My amp is 6 inches tall so this leaves too little room for heat dissipation and stereo amps. put out a lot of heat. It had to go on the top shelf.
The middles shelf to top shelf height is 7.5+ inches ONCE YOU ARE BEHIND THE FRONT WOOD RAIL!
I had to insert the amp from the side of the stand to get it on the shelf. At least heat can rise and dissipate on the top shelf.
Also very important- METAL UPRIGHTS ON BACK block access!!
My stereo amp has to be off to the left side because the uprights in the back block access to plug into certain places I needed to connect so I had to move it to edge of top shelf left side.
I choose to keep this TV stand for it's looks, convenience and fit in my room and with my furniture. It is an attractive piece of furniture and well done with smooth edges and sturdy frame.
The stand does allows for easy swivel and has a tilt adjustment as well.
My feedback to all these engineers and designers is to make all stand shelves standard sizes like 18 inches deep and 8 inches height per shelf.

The stand looks better than it's picture. My husband assembled it in about 30 minutes. Everything went together perfect. It looks like an expensive peice of furniture and complements our 52" LCD TV great.
